On June 6, 1944, more than 13,000 American paratroopers dropped into the coastline region of Normandy, France. This section of parachute canopy was used on D-Day by John Seney, 101st Airborne division, a.k.a "Screaming Eagles". During the invasion, the division was scattered miles away from the landing zones due to bad weather and intense enemy ground fire. An estimated 4,500 of the division's 6,928 paratroopers were either killed, wounded, or missing during the battle. Despite the overwhelming odds, they managed to take many of their objectives on D-Day and complete their mission over the next few days.

The parachute piece is displayed with your barbed wire, sand from Omaha beach, a 1939 Nazi Coin and an original June 6 1944 Shreveport Journal front page. Great product.

Absolutely worth the wait the size of the parachute piece was much bigger than I expected, about the size of a ticket. It is just incredible to hold a piece of history.

It was portrayed to be a larger item and although it is a piece of history, it is very small and difficult to read the notations without aid. Wish it was a larger piece of lucite with a larger piece of the parachute. Charge more and make it look more interesting

Parachutes used in WWII were white, not camo.

As an army paratrooper combat Vet of GWOT I was pumped to get this piece of history. A little bummed it such a tiny piece. Its hard to tell what it even is it is so small. Probably wont order from this company again. Only redeeming factor is the story of the paratrooper whose chute it came from was included.
