D-Day Barbed Wire Artifact Display

$74.99 on its own

On June 6, 1944, approximately 156,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified coastline to fight against Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy. Barbed wire was seen throughout the coastlines.

The wire in this display was found on a farm in Normandy, France, and is original German barbed wire from the D-Day invasion. It stands as a memorial to those who fought in the defense of freedom. Each acrylic display holds one piece of barbed wire.

On June 6, 1944, more than 13,000 American paratroopers dropped into the coastline region of Normandy, France. Despite overwhelming odds, the division took many of its objectives on D-Day and completed its mission over the next few days.
